The brouhaha about Afzal Guru

I don't understand the violence and various political maneuvering about this guy. He attacked the Indian Parliament and he was given due judicial process and sentenced to death. While I wish we could be like the Amish people who have already pardoned the killer who killed 5 of their children, I'm afraid that such show of magnanimity will be taken as pusillanimity. He is part of a terror group and there should be no iota of mercy to these mercenaries.

The way people react to Afzal Guru issue will clearly show what their position is regarding the unity of Indian state. I hope Dr.Abdul Kalam will not waver and uphold the death penalty against this traitor.
